Okay, since I don't have children to blog about I will blog about my dogs. Because they always seem to be doing something they shouldn't be doing. We have been told that dogs have the mentality of a 2-3yr old child. And I believe it. An since I don't have children to blog about then those of you who know me can say "Gosh, why do we always have to hear about those dogs"
So, Friday nite I am asleep when I am awakened by Chet yelling "Hey, hey" very loud ly. So I wake up wondering what in the world is going on, it's 1am. Chet says "they (the dogs) are fighting". So we jump out of bed and run into the kitchen, no dogs there, look around the corner into the living room and see Max. He has Bea cornered. We also see some foil in the living room floor. Yes, Max had countersurfed again in the middle of the night. Chet had gotten up at 12:55am (5 minutes earlier) to let them out to go to the bathroom. They came back in and when Chet went to bed Max went into the kitchen for a midnite snack, literally. What they (Max) ate was a whole loaf of pumpkin bread, that I had brought home from school. It was a gift from a student. It was no small loaf either and he ate 3 bavarian cream donuts (Chet's favorite that he had brought home from work, a gift from one of his patients). Within 5 minutes he devoured all of this stuff and kept Bea away from all of it. Luckily they weren't fighting when we got to them. I grabbed Max and Chet was getting Bea when she tried to attack Max before Chet could grab her. I'm sure she was mad that he didn't share the goodies with her. The were separated for about 10 minutes and then all was well. The next day Max was bloated and today he is really feeling the effects of eating/hoarding all that stuff. Serves him right for not sharing the goodies and eating our (mine and Chet's gifts). Anybody, want to dogsit?

Very funny and sad. Sorry about the good food getting eaten and about waking up in the middle of the night. No fun there. However, you can be rest assured that your dogs are smarter than a three year old. I don't know any three year olds that would think of grabbing food off of a counter at midnight and stuffing his/her face. I'd say your dogs are more like five year olds. So, your kids are gifted!
